Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

About GodZeala

What is GodZeala?

Most kids programs teach activities. GodZeala teaches life preparation.

GodZeala is a small group mentorship program designed to help children develop the mindset, character, and life skills they will need to thrive beyond school.

Instead of simply teaching topics, we help kids learn how to:

• Speak with confidence
• Handle peer pressure
• Make wise decisions
• Manage money early
• Build resilience when things are hard

School prepares kids academically.
GodZeala prepares them for life.

Through mentorship, reflection, and creative learning, we intentionally nurture confidence, emotional resilience, leadership, and character in a supportive environment.

Age Group

What age group is this program for?

Our mentorship program is designed for Grade 3–5 students (ages 8–12) — a crucial stage where habits, confidence, and mindset begin forming for life.

Small Group Mentorship

How many children are in each group?

Each group is capped at a maximum of 9 children.

We intentionally keep groups small so children can:

• build deeper friendships
• receive personal guidance
• feel safe to share their thoughts and experiences

This mentorship-style environment ensures every child is seen, heard, and supported.

Mentors

Who leads the program?

Children are guided by caring adult mentors who have been carefully screened and trained. Every mentor goes through a screening and selection process, including background checks and reference reviews, to ensure they are safe, responsible, and aligned with the values of the program.

Mentors also receive training in child safety, mentorship principles, and group facilitation, so they are equipped to support children in a positive and encouraging way.

Our mentors are passionate about helping kids grow in wisdom, confidence, and character, while creating a safe environment where children feel comfortable to learn, ask questions, and express themselves.

Faith Perspective

Is this a Christian program?

Yes. GodZeala is a Christian-based mentorship program grounded in Scripture, character formation, and purpose.

Our programs are guided by Christian values and a faith-based perspective while remaining fully welcoming and inclusive.

Families of all backgrounds who value these principles are welcome to participate. No child will ever be expected to engage in any religious commitment or faith response.

What Does a Typical Class Look Like?

Each session follows a rhythm that helps children feel safe, engaged, and excited to return each week.

Sessions typically include:

• Check-in and connection time
• Mindful moment or short devotion
• Lesson teaching
• Workbook journaling and reflection
• Snack and group discussion
• Activity and skill practice
• Game time

This rhythm allows kids to learn, reflect, practice, and build friendships in a supportive environment.

Registration & Payment

How do I register?

Registration is completed online through our website. Once registered, parents will receive confirmation and additional details about the program.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

• Credit card payments through Shopify
• E-transfer (preferred to avoid processing fees)

Payment instructions will be provided after registration.

Do you offer sliding-scale pricing?

We believe every child should have access to mentorship and learning opportunities.

Limited sliding-scale spots may be available depending on financial circumstances. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this option.

Refund Policy

Are refunds available?

Full Refunds may be issued if cancellation is requested at least 7 days before the program start date.

After this period, refunds are typically not available because program planning, materials, and staffing have already been confirmed.

Missed Classes & Make-Up Policy

What happens if my child misses a class?

Because each session builds on the previous one and includes group discussion, make-up classes are generally not available.

When possible, we may provide a summary of the lesson or activity suggestions to complete at home.

Refunds or credits cannot be issued for missed classes.

Safety & Participation

What if my child has special needs or behavioural concerns?

We encourage parents to share any relevant information during registration so we can determine how to best support your child.

While we strive to create an inclusive environment, our programs may not always be able to provide specialized support in every situation.

Photos & Media

Will photos be taken during the program?

Photos or short videos may occasionally be taken during sessions for promotional or educational purposes.

If you prefer that your child not appear in photos, please notify us in your registration form before the program begins.
